Whale Watching

One of the most magical experiences in Turks and Caicos is the opportunity to see the Humpback Whales as they migrate from the northern Atlantic Ocean to warmer waters near the Caribbean. Very often it can be possible to see whale calves with their mothers, as well as pods of five or more whales. The Meridian Club organizes boat trips to see these whales who can be seen seasonally between January and the end of March.

Glow Worm Cruising

As rare as Pine Cay itself, each lunar month – 5 nights after the full moon, and 55 minutes after sunset – an amazing phenomenon occurs. A breathtaking, 15-minute display of underwater luminescence is created by the mating of a worm-like sea creature called Odontosyllis Enopla. Visible just minutes away by boat from the shores of our island, this incredible site is only seen in a few places in the world. If you are staying with us when it happens, we will make sure we give you the best view – from one of our boats out at sea, accompanied by a glass of wine.
