Flats Fishing

The Flats Off Pine Cay for Bonefish…

The Meridian Club provides a great experience for anyone planning a vacation who wants the opportunity to fish.

The “wadeable” flats around our island and elsewhere on the Caicos Bank offer great bonefishing, one of the most satisfying pastimes in the Caribbean.

Half-Day and Full Day Bonefishing Charters on Pine Cay in the Turks and Caicos

Bonefishing in the Turks and Caicos is the ultimate shallow water challenge. Those who have never caught a bonefish before will be amazed at the strength and endurance of these fish.

“Spend the time and the money for a stay at Meridian Club and you get access to a wholly untrammeled bonefish wonderland out on the southeastern side of the cay…”
– Saltwater Fly Fishing Magazine

We offer half and full day charters with an experienced guide in a state of the art Hewes flats skiff. The Caicos Bank, adjacent to Pine Cay (see Pine Cay map), is a vast shallow expanse with many
“wadeable” flats, some only a five-minute boat ride from our dock. You may fish from the boat or wade, depending upon your preference, tide level and location. Fly and spin fishing tackle is available if you choose not to bring your own. We now have Orvis fly rods and reels.

Learn from a Turks and Caicos Fishing Guide at The Meridian Club

Our two guides at The Meridian Club are knowledgeable fly and spin fishermen who have many years fishing and exploring the Caicos Bank. They can almost always put you on fish. We strongly recommend that guests who have never before fished for bonefish go with a guide. However, more experienced (and adventurous) fishermen can wade out on their own from the southeast side of the island and access large bonefish flats.

“Bonefishing on the flats off Pine Cay can be excellent. Whether you are a seasoned expert or a complete beginner . . . If you want to fish on your own then you can explore one of the nearby flats.”
– Roxtons: leading provider of the finest fishing opportunities around the globe.

We are pleased to announce that The Meridian Club only experienced minimal damage in the recent Hurricanes, Irma and Maria, and most importantly, all the members of our team remained safe throughout the storm.

As we are presently closed for our yearly summer renovations, our clean up and repairs are uninterrupted and going well. As such, we expect to remain on schedule, and are excited to keep moving towards our planned re-opening on November 1st 2017.

Currently, due to the damage done to the Turks & Caicos islands, we are experiencing some difficulties with telephone and internet. If you have contacted us please know that we will respond as soon as we can and appreciate your patience as we get back on our feet. We are still taking bookings as usual and hope to see you very soon at The Meridian Club.

Very best wishes from all of us here on Pine Cay!
