Private Island Cuisine, Poetry?

Thursday, June 23rd, 2016

Most people vacationing on a private island would normally feel concerned about what they would eat, where they would eat, etc.  On Pine Cay, guests never have to fear, because The Meridian Club Bistro has a varied menu, several key dishes, and often features sea-to-table or farm-to-table locally sourced ingredients.  “It’s a lot of fun working on the menus when you are on a private island,” says executive chef Sara Spudowski.  “I’ve worked in many places including Toronto, Vermont, Hawaii, California and Alaska, but the inherent challenge of producing creative quality cuisine on a private island has been my favorite challenge of all.”  Sounds like a Food Network reality show, right?  Someday soon…

Maybe you don’t have to take our word for it.  One of our guests found us online by using key words for food, cuisine and dining.  Others give us reviews on Trip Advisor, including this headline from April 2016 “Best, best, THE BEST”.  A food publication described the menu as “poetry.”  Sure there are many synergies and dynamics to getting all the ingredients from Provo (the “main” land, ah, island) to Pine Cay.  Sure there are times when the menu has to change the last minute because an island homeowner or guest brought in some wahoo two hours before dinner.  Sure the challenges are there, but the staff on Pine Cay have seen most of them and navigate it like pros, always with a huge glowing smile.

And there is more.  Not only does Pine Cay have one of the best restaurants in Turks & Caicos, it also is known for one of the best beaches in the world, with a two mile stretch of pristine sugar white sand. Imagine your dining experience now…..

So, if you are looking for a vacation that includes outstanding culinary creations and a perfect private beach, consider The Meridian Club on Pine Cay.

We are pleased to announce that The Meridian Club only experienced minimal damage in the recent Hurricanes, Irma and Maria, and most importantly, all the members of our team remained safe throughout the storm.

As we are presently closed for our yearly summer renovations, our clean up and repairs are uninterrupted and going well. As such, we expect to remain on schedule, and are excited to keep moving towards our planned re-opening on November 1st 2017.

Currently, due to the damage done to the Turks & Caicos islands, we are experiencing some difficulties with telephone and internet. If you have contacted us please know that we will respond as soon as we can and appreciate your patience as we get back on our feet. We are still taking bookings as usual and hope to see you very soon at The Meridian Club.
